Candle Care & Usage
-
Light your candle on a protected, heat-resistant, dry surface, away from anything that can catch fire, and out of reach of children and pets.
-
Light your candle in a well-ventilated room, away from drafts, or fans which can cause rapid or uneven burning.
-
Each time you light your candle, be sure to let the wax in your candle melt completely to the edges of the container (about 1 to 2 hours) before blowing it out. This will help prevent “tunneling” where only the wax in the center of the candle melts.
-
For the best candle care, remember to avoid burning any candle for more than 3 or 4 hours at a time. This is a safety precaution and will make it so that your candle can be used again on multiple occasions.
-
Trimming the wick of your candle before you relight it, is a great way to keep your candle wax clean and burning nicely. Always check that the wick is regularly trim to about ¼” tall and it is centered in the melted wax.
-
Keep dust out of your candle when it has cooled down and not in use, remember to cover the candle a few hours after each use with a paper topper or lid if it came with one.
-
You can remove dust and fingerprints from a candle by gently rubbing the surface with a piece of nylon or a soft cloth when the candle has cooled down and not in use. The cloth can be dry or slightly dampened with water.
-
Store your candles in a cool, dark, and dry place and cover it with a candle lid to protect the quality of the wax from dust which could dull its scent and lead to problems during burning.
-
In case of condensation on the surface of a candle due to improper storage or has been stored for too long, wipe the condensation with a paper towel prior to lighting.
-
Avoid placing your candles where they will be directly exposed to sunlight or harsh indoor lighting, such as a spotlight.
-
Storing candles for too long can affect the scent, use your candle in a reasonable time to make the most of its beautiful fragrance.
